We arrive in Zagora after several stops to discover the life of the palm groves and oases. Lunch in Zagora. Just after the large city of Zagora, we stop at the village of Tamegroute. First, we visit the Quranic library founded in the 18th century, for enthusiasts of ancient manuscripts in all sciences, which Sheikh Mohamed Bennaceur, founder of the Naciria religious brotherhood, had gathered during his religious and learning journeys. Next, a walking tour of an old part of the neighborhood adjacent to that of the potters to understand the architecture of the Casbahs and Ksours. Finally, an introduction to pottery with a visit to pottery workshops and a store selling pottery items with green glaze, a unique specialty of the region.
Continuing south, to the last end of the paved road. We will reach the last village of M’hamid, before the great desert. Desert landscapes, as far as the eye can see, signal the great desert. On a sandy track, we venture between Erg and Reg (Dunes and plateaus), until we reach the great dunes of Chegaga to enjoy a stunning sunset over the large dune.
Dinner, with a musical evening hosted by the blue men. Overnight stay at the Chegaga bivouac under tents.
